“Why airborne automobiles will never take off” — Such a shame… even with the new GPS-powered air traffic control system, it doesn’t look like this is feasible.
“A Visit to the Creationism Museum Makes Scientists Laugh, Cry.” — Scary on so many different levels.
“Clearing your head is a walk in the park. How greenery helps us think.” — The intensive concentration required in urban environments prevents us from relaxing and being creative.
“Obama and Medvedev Announce Nuclear Deal” — I support nuclear energy… but reducing the number of nuclear warheads on this planet can only be a Good Thing.
“On Facebook, a Spy Revealed (Pale Legs, Too)” — I’ve always thought your personal life, no matter how public (i.e. placed on Facebook, Flickr, or MySpace) should be of no concern of one’s employer (with a few noticable exceptions). However, if you are going to be the head of MI6, you might want to be a bit more secretive.
“Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport” — This car doesn’t do it for me. (This car, however, does.) And you know it was over-engineered when a $2mil automobile doesn’t have cupholders.
“In Two States, a Lower Bar for Conviction” — It’s only fitting that Louisiana be one of those states… “…only two states [do] not require juries to reach unanimous verdicts in criminal cases. A unanimity rule would seem to reinforce the requirement that prosecutors prove their cases beyond a reasonable doubt. Two jurors out of 12, if you do the math, represent about 16 percent of the panel. That’s a fair amount of doubt.”
